Description

Position Summary: A Registered Professional Nurse who is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing & evaluating the care of patients. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of therapeutic patient care, patient advocacy, team dynamics, & hospital systems. Serves as a resource support staff. Requires a high degree of initiative & independent judgment.

Position Requirements

A: Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia.

B. Education: Graduation from an NLM accredited school of nursing.

C: Experience: One year of recent Registered Nursing experience preferred (within the past five years)

D. Special Qualifications: Current BCLS, ACLS, TNCC, & ENPC mandatory (required with in 1st year of employment if not certified.)

Degree of Supervision Required: Is able to function independently w/ minimal supervision. Is directly responsible to the CTL &/or Charge Nurse in directing & providing patient care.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to tolerate prolonged, extensive or considerable amount of standing/walking, turning, lifting, pushing/pulling & transferring patients. Heavy lifting 50 pounds+ frequently throughout the day. Must be able to perform duties required w/in a reasonable length of time.

Personal Protective Equipment: This position requires the use of personal protective equipment during various tasks/activities. Personal protective equipment includes, but is not limited to: gloves, masks, safety glasses, gowns, & any other OSHA required equipment.
